Dichroic "squid ink" fabric inspired by 500+ million years of evolution.
The squids' skin is one of the most complex and unique biological materials on this planet. While most creatures with color-changing ability do it to hide, squids do it to attract. Which is where the inspiration for flexliving's reflective release came from.
Our rainbow reflective fabric is stealthy, until you don't want it to be. The fabric is a mellow gray/black, and then when the light hits it just right, it comes to life and looks like it's from another dimension.
Short Features:
- Zippered tech storage pockets
- Embroidered Peach icon on left leg
- Elasticated waistband with drawstrings (extra stretch for maximum comfort)
- Reduced length "just enough" (5" inseam which is slightly longer than our original 2.0 short, but still enough to celebrate those quads!)
- Rainbow Reflective outer fabric (now with 4-way stretch)
- With slightly wider waist to avoid "muffin top".

SIZING: Runs big. Order a size down if you're in-between sizes. With slightly wider waist to avoid "muffin top".
This version of our liner active shorts is slightly longer in length compared to the original release. (5 inch inseam with compression underwear extending 1.5 inches longer than the outer short). Slightly wider waist to avoid "muffin top".
Wash / Care Instructions
Please wash it by hand, do not twist it too tight, and dry it naturally.

Love the shorts!
All in all they are my favorite shorts, they get a little hot in the sauna but, look so great it doesn't detract from it.
Comfortable, breathable, and definitely a great workout short
These shorts are super comfy and the reflective material is awesome. Gives it that extra cool factor. Definitely recommend these to any guy that isn’t afraid to rock short shorts!
I like the quality and style. The fit was just right. I like the material being thicker. It's feel stronger and not cheap
So far I have purchased a few items from Flexliving and their stuff is usually exactly what I expect. However, the grid reflective shorts left me a bit underwhelmed. The only available size when I ordered was L, but I had a coupon and really wanted them so I ordered anyways. The size isn’t the biggest issue - I can tighten them with the drawstrings. It was the color changing quality for me. I own the full reflective shorts and the mushroom color changing ones as well, and both of those are fantastic. But for the grid shorts, the reflective colors aren’t as vibrant or apparent as the other designs, it’s just a weak reflection. The design is cool though, so I’ll still keep it. Not sure if I just received a dull pair or if it’s just lower intensity than the other ones they make. Overall they are a great company with outstanding customer service, so I will still order from them in the future! Try out the other shorts I mentioned because they are 5/5 stars!
Love the fit, material and the look. Only drawback is the pockets hang below the bottom of the shorts when you are holding anything in them.
I like the shorts. The material is heavier than I thought but not in a bad way. The only slight issue I have with them is that the cut isn’t as form fitting as other Flexliving shorts I own
